Location: The Whitmire Ranch is located 2 miles northeast of Memphis, Texas in Hall/Collingsworth Counties.
Acres: 11,017 acres more or less.
Terrain: The ranch has a variety of terrain, from rolling hills and canyons to open prairie and some cultivation. Mesquite are located on most of the property with some cedar. Hackberries, cottonwoods and plum thickets are found in the creeks and drainage areas. The native grasses on the ranch include Buffalo Grass, Grama Grasses, Blue Stem, Plains Bristle, Switch Grass, Curly Mesquite, Side Oats and Arizona Cottontop. Approximately 350 acres are currently in cultivation and planted in wheat for grazing.
Water: 20 windmills are located on the ranch and numerous dirt tanks. Dry Salt Creek runs through the center of the ranch, with Wet Salt Creek running through the eastern corner. Both creeks are spring fed with areas holding water year round.
Improvements: Two sets of pens, an out building and two houses are located on the property. The houses are in very poor condition and are not being utilized. The ranch is fenced and cross fenced and has approximately 30 miles of roads through the property.
Hunting: This property supports outstanding quail and trophy whitetail and mule deer hunting. Wild turkeys are also abundant on the ranch.
Taxes: Taxes on the ranch are approximately $12,000 annually.
Minerals: No minerals will be conveyed.
